NRN Women in Agriculture Series - Mount Briscoe Organic Farm

29 July 2020 By Editor

The National Rural Network (NRN) have recently launched their Women in Agriculture Video Series, which aims to highlight the pivotal role women play in Irish agriculture. The videos are released on a weekly basis, over a five-week period and involve five farmers from the different sectors of Irish agriculture speaking about their experience of farming in contemporary Ireland.

This week’s video features Margaret Edgill, an organic farmer from Mount Briscoe Organic Farm in Daingean, Co. Offaly. Mount Briscoe has been in Margaret’s family for over seven generations and having only returned to the farm in the past six years, she proclaims herself, a ‘farmer by default’.
