Manifesto
IOFGA presented a Manifesto for the future of organic food and farming to Trevor Sargent TD - Minister for Food and Horticulture - in July 2007. In it we outline twelve points for the development of the organic sector.

Pre-budget submision
The Irish government has committed to increasing the amount of certified organic land to 5%. IOFGA believes that significant steps need to be taken to achieve this including:
- Establishing a new development agency to promote and coordinate the
- development of all aspects of organic production and marketing
- Increasing support for conversion to organic farming
- Enhancing opportunities for research and training
- Improving consumer information.
